Take care when selecting suris to purchase. On some sites cross bred suris may be presented without clear indication of what they are. Whilst cross breeding is a valid and useful tool to produce suri stock it is important to know what you are paying for.

All Elysion suris for sale have clear indication of their breeding provenance.
Full suri indicates a pure bred suri with no huacaya in its background.
F1 indicates a first cross suri, i.e. full suri male over a huacaya female.
BC1 indicates a first back cross, i.e. full suri male over a F1 female.
BC2 indicates a second back cross, i.e. full suri male over a BC1 female.
BC3 indicates a third back cross, i.e. full suri male over a BC2 female.
...... and so on.
